This project is just underway. This entire project was divided into 7 bid packages. Simms building Group was awarded Bid packages 2 & 3 which consist of the building foundations, slab and building enclosure. This project has been submitted for a SILVER LEED CERTIFICATION.
Jana Elementary School
Budget: $2.2 Million
Project Information:
Jana Elementary School was one of the three schools included in a package of elementary school renovations and additions. Under Simms supervision and subcontractors, Jana Elementary received a new library, a new wing that included additional classrooms, a new wing that included additional classrooms and a new room for the school nurse and new teachers’ lounge.
Armstrong Elementary School
Budget: $2.1 Million
Project Information:
Armstrong Elementary School underwent many renovations. The renovation included a complete revamp of the existing library to include new carpet, fresh paint and reading alcoves. The school received an entirely new addition to expand the classroom space, created an area for the nurse and an additional lounge for the teachers. This project took place during the school year without an interruption to the learning environment.
Educational
East Middle School
Budget: $2.3 Million
Project information:
The East Middle School project was an interior demolition and renovation project of multiple classrooms and corridor within the 50,000 SF space. The $2.3 million dollar project also included the complete renovation and construction of a new Media Center with computer labs and independent science rooms. The upgrading of various HVAC, electrical and plumbing components were included in order to accommodate the most modem needs of a quality learning environment.
